Information about the object:
The parish church in Brzozdowice was established in 1410. The present church was built in the 1860s and 1870s from the foundation of the Rzewuskis; it is a copy of the church in Hodovitsa, designed by Bohdan Meretyn. In 1949 the church was closed and turned into a kolkhoz chemical storehouse. The church was returned to the parish in 1993. Since then, it has been gradually renovated and restored.

Before the Second World War, the church was one of the most important shrines in Halychyna; the miraculous painting of Christ Crucified in it was the destination of numerous pilgrimages of both Catholic rites. In 1945, the painting was transported to Kamień Pomorski. Since 1995, there has been a faithful copy of it in Brzozdowce.

Completed works:
The task is to investigate the technical condition of the building, to determine the causes and sources of dampness and to draw up a construction and drainage project for the building. Currently, the church does not have an effective rainwater drainage system. The pump installed at the level of the crypts does not drain the incoming water, the drainage is ineffective. Due to increasing dampness, the condition of the masonry is deteriorating, with consequent degradation of the plasterwork and surviving paint decorations.

The documentation necessary to carry out the renovation of the church is planned for 2023. This will include: an inventory based on laser scanning, geotechnical surveys, surveys of the dampness of the masonry, an expert opinion on the technical condition, a construction project for the drainage of rainwater and groundwater.
