Grave of Home Army soldiers in the local cemetery

In July 1944, an NKVD convoy disarmed one of the AK brigades and led the captured soldiers to a place of incarceration in a camp in Medininkai. 2 unknown AK soldiers were killed during this action. They were buried in the cemetery in Borejkowszczyzna. On 16 August2009 a ceremony was held to dedicate a monument on their grave. The monument was founded and made by the Vilnius resident Grzegorz Pleskaczewski as part of the campaign "In relief of a small memory", conducted in the Veterans' Magazine of the radio "Znad Wilii". The inscription reads: "Here lie two unknown Home Army men killed by an NKVD convoy in July 1944 after the disarmament of the Vilnius brigades of the Home Army on their way to the place of incarceration in the camp in Medininkai. Honour their memory!". The inscription "God Honour Fatherland" is placed on the base of the monument. The grave is located in the middle of the cemetery, a little to the left of the entrance.
