Grave or symbolic grave stone of Leon Krainski, adjutant of Ludwik Narbutt

In the small family cemetery, located next to one of the now abandoned farms, there is a boulder with an inscription in honour of Leon Kraiński, aide-de-camp of Ludwik Narbutt, who fell with his commander on 4.05.1863 in the battle of Dubicze. According to information provided to the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in 2018 by Leon Krainski's descendants, this insurgent was exhumed from Dubicze to Pokoniavka in 1934, at the time when the currently existing grave was being arranged there. Lithuanian historians do not confirm the fact that any insurgents were exhumed from Dubicze, hence there is no certainty as to whether Leon Krainski is buried under the boulder in Hryszaniszki, or whether this is a symbolic commemoration.
