In a mass grave near the village were buried unknown insurgents who died in battles against the Tsarist army in the years 1863-1864: 2 insurgents - 21.04.1863 in the battle of Ginietynami, 17 insurgents - 17.05.1863 near the village of Skaistakalnis (Jasna Gorka), 4 insurgents - 19.07.1864. in Raguvos forest (Raguvos miškas) and an undetermined number of insurgents who fell in the same forest on 18.01.1864 and 25.05.1864. According to the accounts of local residents passed down from generation to generation, 7 priests are buried here. The grave is surrounded by a wooden fence, and a wooden chapel pillar has been erected a dozen or so metres from it, just off the road. The old inscription on the gates of the grave is now illegible.
