Katarzyna Leszczyńska (1680-1747), born in Poznań, daughter of Jan Karol Opaliński and Zofia Anna Czarnkowska. In 1698, she married Stanisław Leszczyński. She was twice queen of Poland. With Stanisław they had two children: Anna and Maria. As a result of setbacks and problems, she was forced to leave the country and wander Europe for several years with her children. In 1735, Catherine and Stanislas obtained the duchy of Lorraine and Bar. They settled in Lunéville. Catherine died in 1747, her body resting in the church of Notre-Dame de Bon Secours in Nancy.
