The cemetery is located on the territory of the former (until 1939) district of Ternopil. The cemetery is located on the south-western outskirts of the village of Bucniiv. It was probably established before 1878, which is indicated by the oldest preserved monuments. There are 40 surviving tombstones commemorating Poles who died before 1945. More than half of the cemetery area is very heavily overgrown. The Polish tombstones come from local workshops. The gravestone forms are dominated by slabs, obelisks, there are also preserved pedestal crosses, iron crosses, a few gravestones with figural sculpture from local workshops. The oldest gravestone of Franciszek Myśliński is dated 1878.

Comments on the state of preservation and visible restoration:

The general state of preservation of the gravestones is average. Some of the monuments without preserved finials, numerous small defects, obliterated inscriptions. Several tombstones covered with a layer of soil. Lush vegetation makes it difficult to reach the tombstones. The cemetery is under the care of the local community.
