The family home of Czeslaw Juliusz Wydrzycki, a musician who was active under the pseudonym Czeslaw Niemen, is located in Stary Vasiliszki in Belarus. The artist lived in this house for 19 years.

In cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Belarus, POLONIKA Institute came to an agreement with the owner of the building and led to the renovation of the roof of the artist's house. The renovation was fully covered by the Institute's funds. The work consisted, among other things, in removing the secondary eternit roofing, reinforcing the roof trusses and restoring the original shingle roofing.

Implemented by: Centre for Culture and Folk Art in Szczuczyn.

The conservation work was carried out in 2019 as part of the Polonica Institute's strategic programme "Protection of Polish cultural heritage abroad".
