Biography:

Ksawery Glinka (1890-1957), born in Kiev. Studied in Munich (1910-1911) and Paris (1911-1914). He fought in the Polish Legions. Between 1920 and 1922, he was a member of the Union of Polish Writers. From 1927, he entered diplomatic service as press attaché at the Polish Embassy successively in Belgrade and Riga, then worked in the press department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris. He was a correspondent of the Polish Telegraphic Agency in Belgrade, Helsinki and Riga. From 1941, he was in the Middle East, where he was an active journalist and involved with Polish refugees. In 1950, he left for the United Kingdom. In 1954, he became Chairman of the Board of the Eastern Territories Association of Poland. In 1957, he became a minister in the Polish Government in Exile and a member of the Polish National Council.
