Biography:

Józef Kapica (1906-2002). He studied German philology at the Jagiellonian University, then took up a job at the university. After the outbreak of the Second World War, he was mobilised, then interned in Hungary, from where he made his way to Syria. He then moved and settled in the UK, where he became involved in education. In 1959, in the government of Antoni Pajak, he became head of the Ministry of Religious Denominations, Education and Culture.
