Biography:

Władysław Horodecki (1863-1930), born in Korniczy. He graduated from the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts in St Petersburg. He then settled in Kiev, where he worked as an architect. In 1914, a Polish printing house in Kiev published his book about hunting in the foothills of Kilimanjaro, 'In the Jungles of Africa'. Horodecki also embellished it with his own drawings. In 1920, he and his wife Kornelia Marr emigrated to Poland. They lived in Warsaw. Horodecki worked for the Ministry of Public Works from 1920 to 1923. He realised numerous projects in Poland, Ukraine, but also Tehran.
