Biography:

Wacław Kłyszewski (1910-2000), born in Warsaw. He studied architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology. He obtained his diploma in 1936. At that time, together with two fellow students: Jerzy Mokrzyński and Eugeniusz Wierzbicki, they founded the "Tigers" group. They carried out many projects together, including the Party House in Warsaw and the Railway Station in Katowice. Kłyszewski took part in the 1939 Defence War. He was sent to two prisoner-of-war camps: in Spittal an der Drau and Oflag IIC in Woldenberg. He was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. He was one of the representatives of modernism in architecture.
