Biography:

Władysław Hasior (1928-1999), born in Kraków. He studied at the State Secondary School of Fine Arts. His teacher and an important person in the process of shaping his artistic attitude was Antonii Kenar. In the years 1952-1958, he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1959, he received a scholarship from the French government and went to study in the atelier of sculptor Ossip Zadkine. He took part in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad. Władysław Hasior's own gallery is located in Zakopane.
