Biography:

Marian Antoniak (1881-1951), born in Bochnia. A certified craftsman, he was educated in Bochnia and Kraków. In 1900, he left for Warsaw, where he worked in his profession, working with stone, on the construction of the Temple of Providence, the Orthodox Cathedral. Two years later he moved to Stanislavov. There he worked at the "J. Bębnowicz" enterprise, where he was in charge of making cemetery monuments. In 1909, he married Bronisława Wójcikówna. The couple bought a house and a workshop in Stanisławów. Marian Antoniak opened a prosperous, licensed sculpting and stonemasonry workshop there. He was a talented artist. He made many sculptures that adorned gravestones in Stanislawow and other towns. The workshop also produced commemorative plaques, and worked on the facades of buildings.
