Biography:

Przemysław Kwiek (b. 1945), Polish sculptor, painter, author of films, installations, performer and action artist. In 1970, he graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied with Oskar Hansen and Jerzy Jarnuszkiewicz, among others. Between 1970 and 1987 he co-founded the KwieKulik duo with Zofia Kulik, based mainly on performance art. He was the initiator of the Association of Artists of Other Arts (SASI) in 1988. He places great emphasis in his work on direct reaction and intervention in social events. He is considered a classic of the neo-avant-garde.
