Biography:

Twenty-seven buildings of various purposes were built in Kharkiv between around 1909 and 1915 thanks to the designs of this architect. Twenty-five of these have survived to this day, and seventeen have been given the status of architectural monuments. In addition, the architect modernised the city space by implementing early modern ideas of creating comfortable living and working conditions. He pioneered a new way of interiorising flats through the use of sliding walls. Rzepiszewski initiated the construction of "company houses" with their own flats in Charkwo, which were the prototype of cooperative houses. His distinctive roof profile gave the historic centre of Kharkiv its originality.
