Biography:

Isaak Smorgonski (born 1882), architect. He graduated from the Institute of Civil Engineers in St Petersburg. He worked mainly in the Vilnius area. There he designed, among other things, the Łopaczyński villa on Moniuszki Street (1937) and the villa of Jan Zasztowt and Irena Herholdowa on Tomasz Zana Street. He also reconstructed the building of the Vilnius Credit Society (1938). He died in the Vilnius Ghetto.
