Biography:

Wiktor Ungar (1861-1920), the first Polish consul in Zagreb. In 1882, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Lvov, and in 1885 he received his doctorate in law from the Jagiellonian University. In 1892, he established a law office in Lviv. Admitted to the Law Society in 1913. Involved in social and political activity. Member of the Polish League, founder (with Stanisław Kłobukowski) of the Trade and Geographical Society, publisher and editor of the "Emigration Review" in 1894-1896. Press officer of the Polish National Committee. On 7 April 1920, he was appointed Consul-General of Poland in Zagreb. He died a month later.
