Biography:

Jan Radziejowski, Polish priest. In 1881, at the request of the Polish community of the Society of St Vincent de Paulo, he took over the care of the faithful in the South District of Chicago. A year later, the parish was erected and a wooden church (now the brick Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary) was built. In 1890, together with Fr Wincenty Barzynski, he founded the "Chicago Journal", published from 1890 to 1971.
