Biography:

Antoni Franciszek Kołaszewski (1851-1910), clergyman, activist of the Polish-Catholic movement, associated with the Polish community in the USA. He was an organiser of the national parish in Cleveland (1883), and also supported the establishment of St Jack's parish in Chicago in 1894. In the same year, he was excommunicated for building a church dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary without the permission of the diocesan superiors. From then on he was a Polish-Catholic priest. In 1908 he returned to the Roman Catholic Church.
