Biography:

Maria Teresa Dudzik, born Józefina Dudzik (1860-1918), a Polish nun. In 1881 she left for the USA, where she worked as a seamstress. In 1886 she was appointed superior of a nursing home for poor elderly women. In 1894 she founded the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters of Blessed Kunegunda, of which she became the first Superior General. She is the author of the Chronicle of the Franciscan Sisters, under the Protection of St. Kunegunda in Chicago, Illinois , describing events from 1893 to 1910.
