Biography:

Otton Metzger (1872-1925), Polish military officer, commander of the Second Polish Navy. Admitted to the Polish Army in 1919, even though he was not fluent in Polish. One of the founders of the Polish Navy. His name was inscribed on a commemorative plaque at the headquarters of the Naval Command in 2010. Awarded the Bronze Jubilee Commemorative Medal for the Armed Forces and Gendarmerie, the Commemorative Medal of the Sea Voyage 1892-1893 (in the period 1892-1893 he made a voyage to India, Oceania, Australia, China and Japan on board the cruiser "Empress Elizabeth"), the War Medal of the Iron Crescent.
