Biography:

Ludwik Ziembicki (1898-1985), Polish military officer, naval officer of the rank of lieutenant commander. One of the editors of the Military Encyclopaedia (1931-1939). During World War II, he went west through Hungary and France and joined the Marine Corps of the Polish Navy. Among other things, he was commander of ORP "Gdynia" and also sailed on British ships. After the war, he remained in exile in London. Awarded the Gold Cross of Merit in 1937.
