Biography:

Franciszek Chałupka (1856-1909), clergyman. Born in Bohemia (then the Austrian Empire), he studied at Polish universities and in 1885 came to the United States, where he organised the first Polish parishes in New England. He was the first pastor of St. Stanislaus the Bishop and Martyr parish in Chicopee.
