Biography:

Polina Tarasevich (1905 - 1943), during the Second World War, hid a Jewish family in her house in Predtechenka (today Berzhsky) - Anatoly Kasinski (his name was Kazriel Bernan until the war) and his mother and brother. In the late autumn of 1943, following a denunciation, the Germans came to Polina's house. Tarasevich managed to warn Anatoly of the imminent danger. Kasinski saved himself by escaping into the forest. On the other hand, Polina and Anatoly's brother and mother were arrested, taken to the forest and shot.
