In the Saint Barbara Cemetery in Utrecht there is a Polish cemetery where veterans of General Stanislaw Maczek's 1st Armoured Division are buried. These are soldiers who, after the liberation of the Netherlands and the end of the war, chose not to return to Poland. There are 88 people buried in the quarters.
