Lipawa is a port city on the Kurland coast of the Baltic Sea. Lipawa's links with Polish history date back to the beginning of the 17th century. Unfortunately, Polish historiography lacks publications presenting Polish achievements in the history of Lipawa. The author, on the basis of his own collections and research, presents known and unknown Poles, often already forgotten, who were associated with Lipawa. The book is richly illustrated with archival material and is written in Polish and Latvian.
