Biography:

Wojciech Zablocki (1930-2020), born in Warsaw. He took part in four Olympic Games: in Helsinki (1952), Melbourne (1956), Rome (1960) and Tokyo (1964). There he won three medals-two silver and one bronze-in fencing. In addition to his sporting career, he trained to become an architect. He studied at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków. He obtained his diploma in 1954. In 1968 he became a doctor, and in 1980 - a habilitated doctor. He designed many buildings both in Poland and abroad (e.g. in Syria). He specialised in sports facilities.
