Pulaski Monument in Denver

In Denver, in Pulaski Park, there is a monument of grey and pink granite, designed by Zbigniew Maleszewski. It was unveiled and dedicated to the people of Denver on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of US independence. Although it is called the Pulaski Monument, it pays tribute to seven prominent Poles: General Kazimierz Pulaski, General Tadeusz Kościuszko, Maria Skłodowska-Curie, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Nicolaus Copernicus, Fryderyk Chopin and John Paul II.

The inscription on the monument reads: "In tribute to eminent Poles who, through their genius, wisdom, inventions and struggle for freedom, served mankind. Dedicated on 4 July 1976 by the Polish community of Denver."
