Tombstone of Kornel Piller

Бучач | Ukraine

Burial place marked by a cross on a plinth in the form of rocks. Reconstructed cross, on plinth, arms not preserved. At the intersection of the arms a metal figure of Christ. On the plinth at the front a plaque in the form of an open book below the instruments of the Passion and a laurel branch. On the left side of the book an engraved inscription (1), on the right (2).

Comments on the state of preservation and visible restoration:

Originally a cross stylised as a tree trunk. The base of the pedestal retains its root form in the finial.
