Tombstone of Kazimierz Paszkowski

Burial place originally marked by cross on plinth and base with banded coffin lid. Cross not preserved, on a moulded plinth. The plinth tapering upwards, covered by a slab on which a volute canopy decorated with a bas-relief floral vase. An engraved inscription to the front. The whole, together with tombstones Nos. 059, 060, 061, 062 and 063, enclosed by a fence consisting of eight cylindrical pedestals connected by a wrought iron chain.

S. P. / Kazimierz / Paszkowski / Vice-Prezydent / Izby Cywil. Wilen. / urodził się w 1822 r. / umarł w 1878 r. / - / Kochał Boga nade wszystko / a bliźniego jak siebie samego. //.

Additional information:

The second, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh lines in italics, the third line in majuscule. According to Lucjan Uziębła's file, the gravestone was topped with a "white marble cross". In Wacław Wejtka's card file, under the letter P, card number 49, dated 1936. According to the file, the location of the gravestone is sector "B1, 8th row, N15, from wall D towards boundary B". Next to the description of the gravestone the annotation: 'with a white marble cross, fenced from N9-14 /Titius, Paszkowski, D'Hoffreumont,[ Jakubowna]?'.

State of preservation:

mosses, lichens, cavities, non-maintained finial

Comments on the state of preservation and visible restoration:

unpreserved finial, plinth supported at front by makeshift railings.
