Czesław Miłosz (1911-2004), born in Szetejnie, Polish poet, essayist, prose writer, historian, translator and diplomat, Nobel Prize winner for literature (1980), graduate of the Stefan Batory University in Vilnius, professor at the University of California at Berkley, selected works: Three Winters (1936 ), Five Poems (1981 ), The Separate Notebooks (1985), Seeking the Homeland (1992), Issa Valley (1955).
