Tombstone of the Mikutowicz family

lit. Vilnius

Burial place marked by a cross on a rock form pedestal. Cross on low plinth. Plinth flanked by bas-relief ivy, ferns, lily and rose flowers. On the front in irregularly spaced panels plaques with relief inscriptions (1-4). To the left an oval photograph on porcelain depicting a middle-aged man with a beard. The whole is enclosed by a fence consisting of a band and iron bars. In front of the fence an irregular stele (5) with a ritual inscription.

Additional information:

According to Lucjan Uziębła's file, the tombstone was topped with "a bronze-plated, silver-plated cast of the figure of the Virgin Mary, standing at the foot of a tin, round-armed gilded cross". The description of the tombstone was supplemented by Wacław Wejtko, according to whom the photograph depicts Apolinary Justin Mikutowicz. The tombstone mentioned among others: 1. the website of the Social Committee for the Care of Stara Rossa (copy in the project archive.). 2. A. Sniezko, "Rossa - miasto umarłych. Groby zasłużonych", vol. 2, Wrocław 1970 mps in the collection of PAU Kraków, pp. 289-292.
