Tombstone of Anicente and Regina Reinger

Vilnius | Lithuania

Burial site originally marked by a cross on a two-stage plinth and base. Cross perpetuated, lying beside gravestone. Cross with arms terminating in triplicate, on plinth. At the intersection of the arms the mounts of the figure of Christ are visible, above the titulus. First step of pedestal with moulded upper edges. The second step of the pedestal high, tapering upwards, covered with a plate with acroterions and peaks. On the front a panel after a photograph, below an engraved inscription (1). On the left side an engraved inscription (2). The whole enclosed by a cast iron fence on a band with a gate at the front, to which two concrete steps are added.

P. / ANICETEGO REINGERA / Doktora Medycyny / Członka Wileńskiego / Imperatorskiego / Medycznego i innych / Uczonych / Towarzystw / Czcigodnego męża i Obywa- / tela który swój żywot cięż- / kiej pracy i miłości bliźniego / przetrwał. Żył lat 72. zmarł / 1877 r. Grudnia 24. Prosi prze- / chodniów o modlitwę do Boga! / Ten pomnik poświęca mu / stroskana żona //.
