The cemetery is located on a small hill approximately 150 m north-west of the Church of St. Peter of Alcantara, from which it is separated by state road No. 59. It is one of the few remnants of the old Karviná. The cemetery currently has an L-shaped ground plan, with the oldest part on the southern side in the immediate vicinity of the national road No. 59. The layout of the cemetery plots is clear, marked by paths. Within individual plots, the layout varies from regular in the immediate vicinity of alleys to irregular in the depth of the sectors. In the newer part of the cemetery the arrangement is more regular. Polish gravestones mixed with gravestones with inscriptions in German and Czech. Partially preserved old trees. In the eastern part there is a section commemorating miners who died as a result of a mine accident and in the depth. a boulder commemorating miners who died. In addition, in the cemetery there is a monument to the fallen .... and individual monuments to victims of mining disasters. The cemetery is dominated by monuments with a grave field covered by a slab or slabs with a vertical element less often only covered by a band, most often with a cross or a stele at the head.
