Since 24 October 2016, one of the streets in Monteverde, or Roman Hill, has been named Viale Aleksander Podulak. Captain Aleksander Podulak was the commander of the Polish Legion, who fell with his unit on 15 June 1849, defending the Roman Republic against French troops.
