The Catholic cemetery in Uhnów is located in the eastern part of the town, about 500 m from the former parish church. It is still active and maintained quite well, although graves with inscriptions in Polish are generally neglected. It has a rural character with gravestones rising directly from the turf and no presence of alleys. To the left of the older part of the cemetery extends the new - municipal - cemetery. Most of the tombstones - also in the older part - have inscriptions in Ukrainian.

Unique to this necropolis is the presence of beautifully carved crosses and crucifixes, folk in character. A recurring decorative motif is the stone wreaths of flowers or thorns placed in their arms. The crosses are mostly inscribed in Ukrainian, but there are also some Polish ones, for example on the graves of Jan Bogusz (died 1902), Józef Dwornicki or Małgorzata Botherzbach (died 1927).

Apart from the stone crosses mentioned, there are, according to Hauser, no gravestones of greater artistic value. However, he mentions: a neo-Gothic monument on the grave of Rev. Jozef Motyl (d. 1873) and the gravestone of Johan Petryk (d. 1910), crowned with a sculpture of the Passionate Christ.

In the middle of the old part of the cemetery stands an eclectic chapel from the turn of the 20th century. It is topped with a bell-shaped spire and two turrets on the sides. Its façade features semicircular windows and a decorative frieze.

On the website of the Polonika Institute, there is information about a programme aimed at "cleaning up, and therefore restoring to a 'legible state', Polish cemeteries, plots of land, individual graves, vicinities of chapels and churches in selected localities of the pre-war Rawskie, żółkiewskie and Sokalskie districts."
