Biography:

Paweł Strzelecki (1797-1873), born in Głuszyna, son of Franciszek Strzelecki (coat of arms Oksza), Polish traveller, geographer, explorer and geologist. The first Pole to circumnavigate the world conducting geological, natural and meteorological research, discoverer of Gippsland and the Latrobe Valley.
