Tombstone of Andrzej Praniewicz

Rectangular tombstone, covered with a slab, at the head of which is a cross on a two-stepped plinth and base. The cross on a profiled plinth. At the intersection of the arms there is a visible mount after the figure of Christ, above the titulus. The first step of the plinth in the form of a rock. On the front a plaque in the form of an unfolded scroll with a ritual inscription (2). The second step of the plinth tapering upwards, with chamfered upper edges. On the front engraved host with chalice and book, above an empty oval space left by a photograph and an engraved inscription (1).

Inscription:

1. Cieniom ś.p. Ks. Andrzeja / PRANIEWICZA / Magistra ś. Teologii zm. 12 Paźdź 1881 r. / w roku pierwszym Kapłaństwa w wieku lat 24. / Poświęcają stroskani Rodzice i Koledzy. //.
2. Jeżeli przedwcześnie umrze sprawiedliwy / Będzie w odpocznieniu albowiem sędziwy / Wiek życia jest krótki. Starość szanowana / Jest życie niewinne przed obliczem Pana / Podobał się Bogu choć z ludźmi grzesznymi / Obcował, więc porwan uniesion jest z ziemi / Aby złość pojęcia jego nie zmieniła / I duszy nie zwiodła ziemskiej złudy siła. / Spełnił czasu wiele, choć żył czas niedługi / Miła Była Bogu dusza Jego sługi / Dlatego wywiódł go z nieprawości środka. / Mądr. At the description of the tombstone the annotation "rozmite sculptures"; in Wejtka's file a reference to Teliński's publication, page 202
