Tombstone of Benedict Hryhorowicz

Burial place marked by a gravestone, at the head of which was originally a cross on a two-stepped plinth and base. Cross not preserved. The first step of the plinth with chamfered upper corners. On the front there is an engraved inscription (2). The second step of the pedestal with a gabled end, on the front a hollow medallion around which is a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon at the bottom, below an engraved inscription (1).

1. S. P. / BENEDYKT / HRYHOROWICZ / zm. 9 Maja 1900 r. / wieku 35 lat / Najlepszemu mężowi / i ojcu pamiątki te po- / święcą żona i córka. //.
2. Odszedłeś od nas i łzą zroszone / oczy Twych bliskich błądzą w oddali / serca za Tobą drżą stęsknione. / W piersiach jękliwe boleść się żali. / Odszedłeś od nas w wieku rozkwicie / Twe nieziszczone plany, zamiary / któreś zmierzał wprowadzić w życie. / w pył się zmieniły i puste mary. //. Odszedłeś od nas... zgon / nieugięty / mrokiem osłonił mózg / skołatany. / żegnaj na wieki duchu / mój święty. / Cześć Twej pamięci / Mężu ukochany. //.

According to Wacław Wejtka's file, the gravestone was originally crowned with a cross, below which was a photograph. The whole is enclosed by a cast-iron fence.
