Tombstone of Waclaw Szwed

Тернопіль | Ukraine

Burial site originally marked by an obelisk on a two-stage plinth, in a band. The obelisk has been lost and lies nearby. On it a bas-relief cross on the front, below an open book with an engraved inscription (1). First step of plinth with chamfered top edges, glazed. Second step of plinth with moulded upper edges. On the front an engraved frame with ears, within which is an engraved inscription (2).

1. Najukochańszemu / Synowi i jedynemu bratu / w nieutulonym / Smutku / Rodzice i siostry //.
2. Tu spoczywa / Wacław Jan Szwed / uczeń III kl powsz / ur 7.VII.1918 um 13.III.1928 / Prosi o Anioł Pański //.
