Tombstone of Aniela Pytlak

Тернопіль | Ukraine

Burial site originally marked by a cross on a two-stage plinth and base. Cross perpetuated, probably lying next to the gravestone. First step of plinth with moulded upper edges. On the front, a glazed frame framed by palm leaves with a ritual inscription. The second step of the pedestal in the form of an aedicula, with a rectangular uplift closed with a gable, framed on the sides by pyramids. To the front, in a niche enclosed by a solid arch, a figure with hands folded in a prayer gesture, dressed in a long undulating robe, the head is lost. Above, in a panel repeating the shape of the uplift, the head of Christ, crown of thorns.
