Biography:

Bronisław Kierzkowski (1924-1993), born in Łódź, painter. Between 1946 and 1947 he studied at the State Higher School of Visual Arts under Władysław Strzemiński. From 1948 to 1950 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sopot under Juliusz Studnicki, and from 1951 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw under Eugeniusz Eibisch, where he obtained his diploma in 1955. He was a lecturer at the Department of Light and Colour at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, he also ran a painting studio at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Mikołaj Kopernik University in Toruń. In 1965, he was awarded the title of associate professor. In 1975, he moved to Lublin, where he lectured at the Institute of Visual Education at the UMCS. In 1987, he became a professor.
