Waldemar Świerzy (1931-2013), born in Katowice, poster designer, co-founder of the Polish poster school, professor of poster design at the Academies of Fine Arts in Poznań and Warsaw. In addition to posters, he created postage stamps, illustrations for books, as well as album and magazine covers.
