According to Anna Lewkowska, Jacek Lewkowski and Wojciech Walczak, the active Tatar cemetery is located 1 km outside Turki. It has the plan of an irregular polygon and an area of 0.8 ha. It has two parts divided by a path: the older, south-eastern part and the newer, north-western part. To quote the aforementioned authors: According to Anna Lewkowska, Jacek Lewkowski and Wojciech Walczak, "in the older part there are about 130 tombstones, the oldest ones from 1831 and 1833. They are mostly granite boulders with an inscription in Arabic and the symbol of a crescent with a star. The modern, 20th century gravestones are mostly vertical slabs with Arabic, Polish and Russian language inscriptions." Example inscription: "ZDJES POKOITSJA / SULEJMAN / SZINKIEWICZ / 1912 G."
