Biography:

Witold Wojtkiewicz (1879-1909), born in Warsaw, son of Stanisław Wojtkiewicz and Aniela, née Święcicka. He studied at the Warsaw Drawing School and the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. He was a painter, a representative of Symbolism. He belonged to the Group of Five and the Society of Polish Artists "Sztuka". He was also involved in literary activity, writing satires under the pseudonym 'Witwoj'.
