Bolesław Lewandowski (1899-1988), former prisoner of Auschwitz, Dachau and Buchenwald. He bequeathed nearly one hundred thousand dollars to the Polish Social and Cultural Foundation in Quebec. He was the first to be laid to rest in the Quarters of Merit in the Notre-Dame-Des-Neige cemetery in Montreal.
