Cemetery in Komarov

An active Catholic cemetery established in the 2nd half of the 19th century, it is located to the north of the village. The cemetery is square in plan, located on a flat terrain. It covers an area of 0.14 ha and is fenced with a wooden fence. There is no division into alleys and plots, the graves are distributed freely throughout the cemetery. It is adjacent to the new cemetery on its western side. The oldest gravestones are located in the central part of the establishment. Gravestones from the 1st half of the 20th century predominate. The oldest preserved tombstone belongs to Jerzy Świto and was created in 1892. It has a form of a granite, rectangular, vertical slab topped with an iron cross. The inscription has been preserved; / Ś. P. JERZY ŚWITO/ LIVED 7(...)/ ZM. 1892 R. MAY 26 D./.
