Cemetery in Mikaszewicze

The Orthodox cemetery is located in the southern part of the village. It was probably established in the early 20th century as a common burial ground for Catholic and Orthodox burials. Currently Orthodox, it remains active. Fenced in with a wooden fence, the area covers about 0.6 hectares. Two Roman Catholic tombstones with inscriptions in Polish have been preserved in the central part of the cemetery. Their condition is bad, they are broken and overturned. The older one, the children's gravestone of Bolesław and Witold Bielachowicz, dates from 1912, while the other belongs to Agafia, Jan, Irena and Eufrosyna Baraj, who died tragically on the night of 7-8 December 1917. Other Catholic tombstones were probably supplanted by Orthodox burials due to lack of space in the cemetery.

Information about the cemetery has been published (see bibliography).
