Cemetery in Siejłowicze

Cemetery with Polish gravestone monuments. Information about the cemetery has been published (see bibliography).
According to Anna Lewkowska, Jacek Lewkowski and Wojciech Walczak, the active Catholic cemetery has a rectangular plan and an area of 0.35 hectares surrounded by a wooden fence. It was established in the second half of the 19th century. Most of its tombstones are from the mid-20th century. To quote the aforementioned authors: "the character of the cemetery is typically rural. On the south side from the entrance there are several dozen granite boulders without inscriptions. The oldest gravestone is a low granite obelisk on a one-stepped base, the obelisk is crowned by an openwork iron cross with an oval plaque and on the grave of Michał Żytkiewicz, who died in 1918." Worth noting is the inscription from the gravestone of Ryszard Hryniewiecki: "RYCZARD / HRYNIEWIECKI / UR. 1943 R. / DIED TRAGICALLY 1973. LIFE SO SUDDENLY LOST / THE MURDERER'S BULLET WAS CRUEL / TOOK AWAY OUR SON BROTHER AND FATHER / AND THIS GRAVE WAS CARVED".
