There are two graves of deceased Polish children in the present military area. They were most probably residents of Balachadi settlement located about 25 km from Jamnagar. The settlement in Balahadi village was specially built for Polish children by Maharaja Jam Saheb. For more than 4 years of its existence starting from July 1942, about 1000 children passed through this settlement. The first groups of children were searched for in the USSR by representatives of the Polish authorities - the so-called Delegates - and arrived in India by land through Ashgabat and Meshhed as early as April 1942. Piotr Mosiewicz and Boleslaw Jarosz are buried in the graves at Jamnagar. The area is currently inaccessible without special permission.
